The highly dynamic growth is considered to be sustainable, as it is primarily the result of:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\">&#8211; <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#445c77\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><strong>Sensibility<\/strong><\/mark>: The growing awareness in China of the importance of dental health.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\">&#8211; <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#445c77\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><strong>Need to catch up<\/strong><\/mark>: The level of care for Chinese patients is still well below that of other countries such as South Korea.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\">&#8211; <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#445c77\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><strong>Demographics<\/strong><\/mark>: The increasing proportion of older people in the population will further increase the demand for dental services.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-7387b849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\">However, the high price pressure caused by public procurement practices (\u201cvolume-based procurement\u201d, VBP) as well as the ever-improving local suppliers pose particular challenges for international providers. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:20px\"><em>\u201cThe classic model, consisting of simply exporting products from Europe to China via a local distributor, is under pressure\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px;line-height:1.8\"><em>\u201cStarting with marketing and brand positioning, companies need to implement greater localization of the value creation stages,\u201d <\/em>says Frank-Christian Raffel, Managing Director of MRL Advisors GmbH. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px;line-height:1.8\">Much more important than in the past is the establishment of the manufacturer&#8217;s brand among doctors, but also among patients in China. One of the most important cornerstones is the transfer of real knowledge, which is subsumed under \u201cEducation\u201d in China.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px;line-height:1.8\"><em>\u201cBased on business logic alone, a distributor will not be able to make the necessary investments in branding,\u201d <\/em>says Raffel. &#8220;<em>In addition to the company&#8217;s own subsidiary, which seems too costly for some companies, new corporate forms should be considered for China.
